Local notes

The catamaran occupies its own place in the fleet: one vessel, chartered from €12,500 a day, and the only multihull among the sport-yachts, day-boats and superyachts listed for Saint-Tropez. That singularity is deliberate rather than a gap — a catamaran serves a narrower brief than a flybridge motor yacht or a sailing superyacht, and this one is kept for guests who ask for it specifically.

The draw is the platform itself. A wide beam and shallow draft mean less roll at anchor and a stable, level deck underway, which matters more than length once the destination is a quiet bay rather than open water. Baie de Briande and the waters off Cap Taillat, both reachable south of the peninsula, suit this kind of boat: no swell to fight, clear shallows close to shore, and a deck that stays flat enough for a seated lunch or a working call without the usual motion of a monohull. Groups who want to combine a business lunch with an afternoon swim stop, rather than choose one or the other, tend to book the catamaran for exactly that reason — the flat aft deck doubles as a dining area and a swim platform without repositioning guests.

It is not built for the Nouveau Port quay display or for a Pampelonne beach-club run with heavy tender traffic; smaller motor yachts and day boats in the fleet handle those routes with more speed. What this catamaran does well is a slower half-day or full-day out of the Gulf, anchored somewhere calm, with guests moving freely between saloon, deck and water without the boat rocking underfoot.

Availability is limited to the one hull, so dates in July and August should be confirmed well ahead of the period when the Gulf anchor field fills early in the morning. Outside peak weeks, particularly June and September, the same boat and the same anchorages are considerably easier to book on short notice.
